Victims of Dale Anderson
on January 1, 2010 in Serial Killers, Victimology by Brian CombsAudrey Cardenas
Audrey, 24, was last seen alive on June 19, 1988. Her body was found a week later.
Jolaine Lanman and her 3-year-old son
Anderson talked his way into Jolaine’s house posing as a home buyer. He forced her to write a note implicating his supervisors at work. He then bashed in the heads of both Jolaine and her son, and stuck a pair of scissors in her throat.
Robert K. Ressler links Anderson for these crimes as well:
– Elizabeth K. West, a 14-year old freshman at the Belleville Township High school, who was found dead on May 5, 1978.
– Ruth Ann Jany, 21 year old girl whose body was found in July 1979.
– A still unidentified women thought to be 18 to 23 years old whose body was found in September of 1986
– Kristina Povolish, 19, who was discovered in July of 1987.
Updated 2014/03/04: Corrected spelling of Kristina Povolish’s name.
You could at least make sure you spell the victim’s names correctly. My sister was Kristina Marie Povolish and she is not forgotten.
I apologize for the misspelling. We pulled it from the Radford.edu database, which is generally an authoritative source.
I would like to see the name of Jolaine’s son included. His name was Kenneth and he was a precious child. I would also like for you to include the fact that Jolaine was pregnant at the time. There were three lives taken that day. Thank you for your consideration.
Thank you so much for the correction. She was more than just a name though. She was my sister and I miss her everyday. She was a sister, a daughter, a mother, and a friend. Her life will never be forgotten.
You have the year wrong as well, it is transposed NOT 1989, it was 1998, I remember where I was living when the case came out and I was following it intently. It could not have been 1989 because my husband had not met then muchless lived together in that house where we got the newspaper daily, it was 1998.
Actually it was 1989…Dale was sentenced to life imprisonment on May 11, 1990.
Nope it was all in the late 80’s!
