Wesley Shermantine Offers Info for Reduced Sentence
on April 2, 2011 in Serial Killers by Brian CombsWesley Shermantine has sent a letter to the Stockton Record saying that he’s willing to reveal information about the whereabouts of the bodies of women he and Loren Herzog killed in exchange for a reduced sentence.
The offer was hand written on a yellow legal pad:
I’ll give up information about Loren Herzog if you let me out of prison in say 10 years.
First, Wesley, I know the press is powerful, but they don’t get to decide on sentence reduction. At this point, you’re best bets are either a judge or a prosecutor in San Joaquin County.
Second, you were convicted of four counts of murder, and are suspected in several more. I’m suer it chaffs that your former friend Herzog was released last year (after having multiple counts overturned on appeal). But you’re going to spend the rest of your life in prison.
Why don’t you just give up the info to put Herzog back in prison?
