Sonny Pierce Charged with Three Murders

on April 21, 2011 in Serial Killers by

Sonny Pierce was charged Wednesday with the murder of three women in Chicago. He allegedly convinced 18-year-old Kimika Coleman to come with him to his apartment in August 2009, where he raped and strangled her. He is accused of the same crime (and same M.O.) with 18-year-old Kiara Windom that same month, and of the murder of 17-year-old Mariah Edwards in July 2010.

Police recovered a video Pierce made of himself having “violent sexual relations” with Mariah. Says Cook County State’s Attorney Anita Alvarez:

This 17-year-old girl appears to be lifeless. We believe she was deceased when the video was taken.

Pierce is tied to Kimika and Kiara via DNA. Cell phone records also connect him to the victims.

Pierce is being held without bail. He has been in jail since August, when he was arrested for the sexual assault of a 15-year-old girl.
