Gilgo Beach Search Expands

on May 2, 2011 in Unsubs by

The search for human remains on Long Island resumes today, with an expansion off the barrier island. Today, they’re searching the parkway between Merrick Road and the Jones Beach water tower. These were closed at 8am this morning.

Spokesperson William Hulse said the expansion was not triggered by new leads. It is simply based upon proximity to where other remains were found.

The search will involve more than 50 people, cadaver dogs, and a helicopter.
