Jai Shankar Arrested in Karnataka
on May 6, 2011 in Serial Killers by Brian CombsJai Shankar, who is suspected of having killed as many as twenty people, was arrested in Elagi Village in Bijapur district two days ago on Wednesday. He had entered a house and attempted to rape a woman.
Her cries alerted neighbors who restrained Shankar. They then handed him over to police. It’s not clear what sort of beat down he was given before being handed over.
A team of investigators from Tamil Nadu, where Shankar escaped on March 18, arrived in Chitradurga last night and confirmed his identity.
