The government for the Canadian province of British Columbia says that the families of missing and murdered women will receive funding to participate in a public inquiry of Robert Pickton. The funds are to help with legal fees.

Ten different groups will have legal standing at the inquiry. It will look at the investigations of women reported missing between January 23, 1997 and February 5, 2002.

A report is expected by year end.
