Body Found on Amagansett Beach
on May 23, 2011 in Unsubs by Brian CombsA badly decomposed body washed up Sunday on a beach in Amagansett, New York. Amagansett is about 100 miles east of the area in Gilgo Beach where ten sets of human remains have been found. There are no initial indications that the cases are connected, other than proximity.
Said East Hampton Police Chief Ed Ecker:
From what I understand the body was in such decomposition that it sounded like it did not have a head. But there could be a lot of reasons for that.
Apparently, they could not tell immediately what gender the body was. Ecker was quoted as saying he didn’t know of any missing persons cases in his town that could be connected to the body.
