USA Today Explores the Highway Serial Killings Initiative

on October 5, 2010 in Law Enforcement by

This morning, USA Today published a very interesting look at the FBI’s Highway Serial Killings initiative. The program encourages local law enforcement to send information to the FVI about killings connected with the USA’s busy interstate highway system.

FBI statistics show that at least 459 people have fallen victim to highway serial killers over the last four decades. These tend to be high risk victims; at least 234 of them were prostitutes.
