New Lawyer and Trial Date for Bruce Mendenhall

Suspected serial killer Bruce Mendenhall was in court in Wilson County, Tennessee Monday for about five minutes. The judge appointed the Wilson County Public Defender to represent Mendenhall, and schedule his trial for April 10, 2012.

Mendenhall’s previous court appointed attorney had withdrawn his representation in June.

Mendenhall is charged with the murder of 48-year-old Symantha Winters She was found stuffed into a garbage can in Lebanon, Tennessee.

He is already serving a life sentence for the murder of Sarah Nicole Hulbert in Nashville.
