FBI to Search Reservoir for David Parker Ray Victims

on October 10, 2011 in Serial Killers by

David Parker Ray was found guilty of the kidnapping, rape, and torture of three women in a homemade torture chamber in Elephant Butte Lake, New Mexico. He was sentenced to 224 years in prison, but died of a heart attack just eight months after sentencing.

He once boasted that he had killed forty women, and investigators believe he may have killed as many as sixty.

Now, according to the Associated Press, investigators hope to find some of his victims.

Environmental changes at the Elephant Butte Reservoir have made it easier to locate possible bodies. A search has been schedule for Tuesday.

Said FBI spokesman Frank Fisher:

We aren’t looking for any one particular victim or victims. But agents will be searching through the ravine.

We just don’t know if there are any there. But we do believe there are victims somewhere.
