Four More Murders Tied to Vincent Groves
on March 7, 2012 in Serial Killers by Brian CombsDNA and circumstantial evidence has tied four additional murders to Vincent Groves, who died in prison in 1996. While only convicted of three murders prior to his death, investigators believe he may have committed as many as twenty.
Using DNA from an earlier murder known to have been committed by Groves, he was tied to the murders of Emma Jenefor, Joyce Ramey and Peggy Cuff. All were strangled in 1979.
Strong circumstantial evidence ties Groves to the murder of Pamela Montgomery in 1988.
Graves was convicted in 1982 of the second-degree murder of Tammy Sue Woodrum. He was released in 1987.
In 1990, he was sentenced to life in prison for the murder of Juanita “Becky” Lovato and twenty years in prison for the second-degree murder of Diane Montoya Mancera.
