Charles Manson up for Parole Later this Month

on April 5, 2012 in Serial Killers by

Charles Manson comes up for parole for the twelfth time later this month.

His most recent bid was in 2007. He refused to participate in the hearing, and declined all psychological evaluations.

Said Los Angeles County Deputy District Attorney Patrick Sequeira at the time:

He refused to cooperate, so the conclusion they drew from the reports is he still remains a danger to the public. He was convicted of nine horrible murders. He has expressed no remorse or empathy for any of the victims.

Whether Manson participates in this hearing or not is probably irrelevant. He is not going to be paroled.

Update 04/11/12: The California Board of Parole Hearings denied Manson’s parole, surprising no one. Manson did not attend the hearing, and will not be eligible for parole for another 15 years.

Manson, will you never cease to amaze me?

I figured this parole hearing he’d come out of his cell and show us his crazy.

The world is, after all, overdue for a new Charlie tv special –we’re running out of time.
