Another Possible Green River Victim Found
on December 24, 2010 in Serial Killers by Brian CombsJust in time for the release of our first episode on Gary Ridgway, remains of another of his victims has been found.
A skull found this week by children playing in a raving was identified as belonging to Rebecca “Becky” Marrero using dental records. She was last seen on December 3, 1982 as she left a motel room on Pacific Highway South.
Marrero has long been thought to be one of Ridgway’s earliest victims, but he was not charged as her body was not found, and he wasn’t able to provide enough info to prove he was the killer.
It not yet clear whether the King County Prosecutor’s Office can charge RIdgway with this murder, or if it will be covered under the plea bargain he signed in 2003.
