No Guilty Plea for Walter E. Ellison December 24, 2010 in Serial Killers by Brian Combs
Walter E. Ellis was expected to plead guilty yesterday in the murder of seven women in Milwaukee. Prosecutors, the media, and the families of victims had been lead to believe he would.
Even his own lawyer was surprised by this development. He did not have the files he need to argue the motions that were to occur if there was no guilty plea. He was given time to go get them.
It’s unclear whether Ellis changed his mind on pleading guilty, or if he had been stringing people along the whole time. Many of the victim’s family members believe this was an intentional game by Ellis.
