View William Burke’s Skeletonon February 26, 2011 in Murderabillia, Serial Killers by Brian Combs
William Burke, along with accomplice William Hare, killed 17 people. They sold the bodies to the Edinburgh Medical College for gross anatomy classes.
When Burke was convicted, the judge decreed that his skeleton should go on display after his execution. Instead, it has been locked away in department of anatomy at Edinburgh University. Only professors and students could see it.
But next month, the skeleton will briefly be put on display. Tours for people over 16-years-old will happen on March 24th and 25th. A maximum of forty tickets will be available.
