The Columbus Elderly Murderer killed five people between the ages of 61 and 80 from 1996 to 1998. All lived within one mile of each other, and their houses showed no signs of forced entry.
Four of the five victims were strangled.
While we have not seen actual crime scene data, the tight geographic radius of the killings suggests a disorganized offender. He (or she) is most likely a local, and someone the victims knew and trusted.
