Rory Conde was born on June 14, 1965 in Columbia. He was born the youngest of two children.
Conde’s mother died from tetanus when he was 6 months old, leaving him to be raised by his grandmother. It is believed that while living in Columbia at his grandmother’s house he was molested by his two uncles. Conde’s father left the family when Conde was 2 years old. He moved with his older sister to the United States when he was 12 years old.
It is believed that Conde began his serial series in 1994, at the age of 29, in Florida. Nearly all of his victims were women who were prostitutes, with the exception of one male transvestite prostitute who Conde also murdered. According to records, Conde would strangle his victims, engage in sexual intercourse with them and then stand over the bodies and blame the victims for his marital problems with his wife. All of Conde’s victims were moved, but there was no attempt to bury or hide the bodies.
On January 19, 1995 Conde was arrested for the murder of Rhonda Dunn. He later confessed to five other murders in an attempt to escape the death penalty. On October 20, 1999 Conde was convicted for the murder of Rhonda Dunn. He was sentenced to death for Rhonda’s murder and sentenced to life in prison for the other murders. He is currently serving time in Miami.
