Sam Pirrera was born in 1967, in Canada. Prior to his murder series, Pirrera had a history of substance abuse and criminal records for drug offences.

Pirrera’s murder series is suspected to have begun in 1991 and ended in 1999. Both his suspected and known victims were females. It is not known how he murdered his victims. Pirrera’s known victim was dismembered after her murder. Her remains were placed coolers and boxes throughout his family home.

On April 3, 1999, Pirrera was arrested for the murder of a woman. Pirrera’s estranged wife had called the police after discovering the remains of his victim at the side of Pirrera’s home. On February 12, 2000, Pierrera committed suicide in the Toronto East Detention Centre. He committed suicide before the a verdict was given in his trial.
