Thomas Kokoraleis was born in 1958 in Chicago, Illinois.
Kokoraleis was proven to be involved in a gang called The Chicago Rippers which was located in Chicago, Illinois. The murder series for this gang is believed to have begun on May 23, 1981. The members of the gang included Robin Gecht, Edward Speitzer and Andrew Kokoraleis, who was Thomas’s brother.
The Chicago Rippers were known throughout North America for their brutality. The majority of the murders were women who were known prostitutes, but they would sometimes make exceptions. They would force the women into their van where they would drug and stab their victim to death. The members would then cut the breasts off of their victims. They would then either masturbate on top of the victims or rape the wounds where the breasts had been.
The Chicago Rippers and Kokoraleis would save the breasts for when they arrived at their hideout. At the hideout a member would read passages from the “Satanic Bible” as the group masturbated into the severed breasts. When this process was finished the breasts would be cut up into pieces and eaten.
The gang was arrested on November 5, 1982. He confessed to being involved in the murder of Lorraine Borowski. At the age of 23, in 1984, Kokoraleis was convicted of murder and sentenced to 70 years in prison.
