Westley Allan Dodd was born on July 3, 1961 in Toppenish, Washington. He was born the eldest of three in his family.
From a very young age Dodd was sexually experimenting with both young boys and girls. Dodd claimed to have blamed his parents for his experimenting with children when he was younger. He believed that he was not given the proper support and sexual education that he needed. Even after his parents found out about Dodd flashing the younger neighbourhood children, they never disciplined him.
It is estimated that throughout his lifetime Dodd molested 170 children. According to records, Dodd originally started his serial series after fantasizing about killing his sexual abuse victims. He began his serial series at the age of 28. All of his murder victims were white males between the ages of 4 – 11. His method of killing was stabbing his victims or suffocating them.
Dobb was arrested in November 1989. He was found guilty of first degree murder in all three case and sentenced to the death penalty. Dodd was hung on January 5, 1993 in Washington.
