Was Jacci Ansell-Lamb a Victim of Peter Tobin?

on June 7, 2011 in Serial Killers, Victimology by

Jacci Ansell-Lamb, 18, was last seen alive in March 1970. She was trying to hitchhike from London to her home in Manchester.

She was found days later by a farmer in Mere, near Knutsford. She was semi-naked, and had been sexually assaulted and strangled with electrical wire.

An identikit picture, released in the days after Jacci’s death, is said to bear a striking resemblance to a young Peter Tobin.

Cheshire police began investigating possible connections between Jacci and Tobin in 2007. So far, they have not officially ruled him in or out of the investigation.

What the investigation has established is that whoever killed Jacci Ansell-Lamb also killed Barbara Mayo in October 1970. Barbara Mayo was last seen hitchhiking from her home in London. She was found in a wooded area. She had also been raped and strangled.
