Attorney for Bruce Mendenhall Withdraws

Already convicted of one murder, Bruce Mendenhall has lost his attorney in the case of another murder. Mendenhall is charged with killing Symantha Winters. She had been shot and stuffed into a garbage can at a truck stop in Lebanon, Tennessee.

Mendenhall, a former long haul trucker, is suspected of having committed murders in multiple states.

He was represented by court-appointed attorney J.D. Lowery, until Lowery withdrew his representation. It is not know what reason Lowery gave for this action. A continuance has been granted until August 1st, when a new defense attorney will be appointed.
