Episode 056: Donald Gaskins, Part 4

on December 17, 2011 in Podcast Episodes, Serial Killers by

Last time, Donald “Pee Wee” Gaskins had just been sentenced to six years in the state pen for assault and battery.

This episode, Pee Wee learns how much worse the state pen is than reform school, and commits his first murder.

Note: In the Odds & Ends section, I talk about remains that had been found and believed to be Shannan Gilbert’s. At the time of recording, positive ID had not been made. But before I released the episode, it was announced that they did belong to Shannan Gilbert.

Cause of death has not yet been determined.

I am loving this series of podcasts Brian. I had never even heard of this guy before, by oh boy, what fascinating stuff! I really do have to commend you for putting out such detailed podcasts on this killer, with so few resources to work with, and a new baby to tend to.

Putting out the show it my pleasure. It’s a great break from changing diapers!

And part of the reason I wanted to profile Gaskins is that so few people know about him. Granted, much of his story is based upon what he himself says only (a definite limitation in historical analysis), but it’s fascinating none the less.

  • Tina P says:

    Hello again, Brian!

I was just wondering, whatever became of those T shirts you were going to get made up?

  • Clare says:

    I would too 🙂

Are we getting another Gaskins installment soon Brian?
