Rodney Alcala Sentenced in New York
on January 8, 2013 in Serial Killers by Brian CombsRodney Alcala was sentenced to 25 years to life in prison Monday for the murders of Cornelia Crilley and Ellen Hover in New York in the 1970s. Alcala pleaded guilty to the murders last month.
Judge Bonnie Wittner choked up as she read the sentence, describing the murders as “an inexplicably brutal, horrible act”.
Alcala will be transported back to death row in California, but should his convictions there be overturned, he would be returned to New York to serve his sentence.
While convicted of seven murders, estimates of the total number of his victims run from 50 to 130.
What happend to the podcast? Did you stop updating it?
It’s been on hold due to lack of time. My goal is to bring it back soon.
Please do, I really love it, its one of the most informative and interesting podcasts out there IMO
I just started listening to your podcast, and I am fascinated. I find the sources you give at the end of each episode especially helpful. It’s inspired me to take back up my research of female murderers (not all serial); maybe I’ll start my own podcast or blog. I hope you bring your show back, I’ll be done with all the episodes too soon!
